…the Journey Begins…

cropped-pexels-photo-320266.jpegI like this picture. It’s a book written in a language that I neither read nor understand. But I am drawn to the hearts. Intrigued by the promise of the hearts, but unable to understand and navigate the story that would lead me to own the hearts….

Much like the life I was living until I was awakened. To LIFE. And healed by the One who has pursued me for all of my life. Relentlessly and Unconditionally and Passionately — He has loved me. And fought for me.  And won my heart. Completely and forever. And He commissioned me to go after the hearts of others and share HOPE for their Journey. Hope that will call you into a greater adventure than the one you’ve allowed yourself to live….

John Eldredge writes: “Most of us live in a fog. It’s like life is a movie we arrived to 20 minutes late. You know something important seems to be going on. But we can’t figure out the story. We don’t know what part we’re supposed to play or what the plot is….”

That was me. Living the role of victim in a tragic tale. A dark room with no doors. A dungeon. But then God…spoke: “the cowering prisoners will be set free! They will not die in their dungeons…and they will never lack for bread.” (Isaiah 51:14)  There was a Greater Story to be lived than the one I was drifting through. And I had been assigned a starring role in that story! And I said YES.  And the Adventure has begun….just as Christopher Columbus wrote hundreds of years ago: “Following the light of the sun, we left the Old World…”  That’s my story. I’m following the Light of the Son, and I’ve left the Old behind.

I’ve journaled for years, pouring my heart and pain out into the words. Finally realizing in awe and wonder:  He has done great things. For me. For my husband. For my family. And I’d like to share some of those God-Stories with anyone who would like to come on this Journey with me….

….He is Good. He has a Plan. And we are loved….
